How can we overcome setbacks and continue to evolve? The past few months have been full of real obstacles for many of us around the globe: a pandemic, lockdowns, a real scenario of gloom and doom. Above all, the human cost of the crisis has been tragic. We have reacted to these heightened levels of stress and uncertainty in different ways. It is easier to talk about change than to live it. At a time when the world is changing every second, organizations must think about how to survive, adapt and transform. These are times for being resilient and, above that, human beings. Leaders must explore options beyond furlough and layoffs. Now is a great time to develop new talents and be creative. Brightline’s research found that faster-transforming organizations are two times more likely to develop internal talent.

Our challenge today is to overcome the skills gap. We should empower teams to be creative, innovative, self-managed. These teams will be able to make quick decisions and help you to move the business forward.

One thing we must remember: effective leadership is a vital factor for transformation success. Organizations that transform quickly have leaders who set positive examples and commit to tangible goals. Every member of the C-suite should be prepared to handle these initiatives and defend our biggest common cause: how to build a better and inclusive society in the future.
